The main ingredient in all of Clean Republic’s products is hypochlorous acid (HOCl) derived from naturally occurring salt minerals and water. HOCl is a compound produced naturally by the human body to fight infection and bacteria.
To replicate this compound, Clean Republic creates their proprietary solution through an electrolytic process. It occurs by temporarily modifying the properties of water, by passing weak salt brine through an electrolytic cell and temporarily changing the properties of the salt water into a powerful oxidizing agent exhibiting highly effective antimicrobial properties. This electro-chemical reaction reproduces hypochlorous acid (HOCl).
